HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Creator & Founder of INFACT IMPACT

Ron Hill

Ron Hill is a remarkable individual whose journey from adversity to empowerment serves as an inspiration to many. His story began in a challenging chapter of his life marked by struggle with drug addiction. In 2016, after a near-fatal overdose and subsequent incarceration for 100 months, Ron faced a pivotal turning point. It was during his time in prison that he realized he needed to make profound change, not just for himself but for his family, particularly his children.

A lifelong artist and passionate tattoo artist, Ron has always channeled his creativity into various forms of expression. This artistic inclination became instrumental during his time in prison, where he sought ways to foster a connection with his kids despite the physical barriers of incarceration. He came up with the innovative idea of creating books for his children, a powerful means of communication and bonding that allowed him to share stories and life lessons with them. Through this creative outlet, Ron discovered a new purpose: to help others who find themselves in similar situations.

Since achieving sobriety on March 20, 2020, Ron has dedicated his life to uplifting those who are navigating the challenges of addiction and incarceration. His  passion culminated in the development of the INFACT IMPACT workshop, designed to empower individuals to build and maintain meaningful relationships with their children. Through this initiative, Ron aims to provide support, guidance, and hope, illustrating that transformation is possible, and that love and connection can prevail even in the most difficult circumstances. With his artistic talents and profound experiences, Ron continues to inspire others to embrace their creativity and overcome their struggles.

As an Advisory Board member on the Minnesota Model Jail Practices Project and the founder and creator of INFACT IMPACT , Ron continues to pursue his passion of making profound change for those who battle drug addiction and overcoming the obstacles of parenting from prison.
